Welcome to the 19th International Conference on Neural Information Processing (ICONIP2012)!

The International Conference on Neural Information Processing (ICONIP) is an annual conference of the Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA). It has become one of the premier international conferences in the area of neural networks since ICONIP94 was held in Seoul, Korea.

ICONIP2012 will be held in Doha, Qatar. It will be the first Arab country to host ICONIP meeting since its inception in 1994. We strongly believe that this conference will advance Qatar's culture of research and development.

Small in size, Qatar is enormous in value. It has achieved within decades what other countries have taken centuries to accomplish. It highly values education, especial higher education. It aims to become one of the world's strongest knowledge societies. Its citizens embrace the future with unswerving optimism and enviable potential. Beyond the value of this conference to Qatar-based scholars, our meeting will be an opportunity to exchange ideas and for discussions with distinguished scholars coming from all over the world. This conference will feature invited plenary talks by world-renowned scholars in the areas of neural network theory and applications, computational neuroscience and others. In addition to regular technical sessions with oral and poster presentations, the conference program will include special sessions and tutorials on topics of current interest.
